Website Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 23, 2026
At Craig Johnson for Minnesota (“Campaign,” “Organization,” “we,” or “us”), we are committed to protecting the privacy of our online visitors, supporters, donors, volunteers, and friends (collectively, “users” or “you”).
We believe internet privacy is essential. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our commitment to your privacy and how we collect, use, maintain, protect, and disclose information.
This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you provide when visiting our website CraigJohnsonForMN.com (the “Website”), and our practices for handling that information. It applies to data gathered on this Website, associated email, and text messaging services. It does not apply to information collected offline, on other websites (including those of affiliates or third parties), or through other means.
By using the Website, emailing us, texting us, or submitting personal information, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of your information as described here.
Personal Information
Personal Information means non-public information that identifies or relates to you, such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number, date of birth, contribution details, or similar identifiers. If we combine information from other sources with what you provide directly, we treat the combined data as Personal Information under this Policy.
We collect information:
- Directly from you (e.g., forms, donations, surveys).
- Automatically as you navigate (e.g., IP address, browser type, usage data via cookies, web beacons).
- From third parties (limited, e.g., payment processors for donations).
Our Pledge to You
We use reasonable efforts to keep your Personal Information confidential, secure, and used only as agreed. Specifically:
- Access is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to support the Campaign.
- We maintain industry-standard security measures.
- We respond promptly to requests to correct inaccurate information.
Donations and Payment Processors
We use WinRed (winred.com/privacy) and Anedot (anedot.com/privacy) to process online donations securely. When you make a contribution:
- Your donation information (e.g., name, address, payment details) is collected and processed by the respective platform.
- We receive your donor information directly from WinRed or Anedot to manage contributions and comply with campaign finance laws.
- Both platforms use encryption and follow PCI DSS standards for secure processing.
- We do not sell your donor information.
- WinRed and Anedot have their own privacy policies—please review them for details on how they handle and share information. Anedot emphasizes they never sell, trade, or share your data. WinRed may display limited public info (e.g., first name, city, amount) on their platform as part of campaign finance transparency.
- All donations are subject to Minnesota campaign finance reporting requirements (see below).
Campaign Finance Reporting
As required by Minnesota law (Minnesota Statutes Chapter 10A), we report certain contributor information — such as name, address, occupation, and employer for contributions exceeding $200 aggregate per election cycle — to the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board. This reported information becomes public record. We do not use or disclose this data for marketing or unrelated purposes without consent.
How and Why We Collect Information
We collect Personal Information to:
- Process donations and manage supporter interactions.
- Send campaign updates, newsletters, volunteer opportunities, or event info.
- Improve the Website and personalize your experience.
- Comply with legal requirements (including campaign finance reporting).

We use reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards, including encryption for sensitive transmissions. No internet transmission is 100% secure, so you provide information at your own risk. In case of a breach, we may notify you electronically or via Website notice, as required by Minnesota law.
