Meet Craig Johnson Candidate for Minnesota House District 36A

Craig Johnson has lived in the community for nearly two decades and has built his life around family, work, and service. Raised in a military family, Craig spent much of his childhood traveling with his parents while his father served in the armed forces. That upbringing shaped his appreciation for responsibility, adaptability, and service. After graduating from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, Craig chose to remain in Minnesota, where he built his career and put down roots.

Craig married the woman of his dreams, and together they became guardians and later parents to three daughters. Family and community play a central role in his life, shaping his commitment to strong schools, local involvement, and service to others.

Craig has held leadership roles for more than 14 years, gaining experience in management, collaboration, and problem-solving. In his role as a full-time Personal Lines Insurance Agent with Nesbit Agencies, he works closely with individuals and families to help them plan responsibly and protect what matters most.

That experience has influenced how he approaches leadership: listening carefully, evaluating options thoughtfully, and making practical decisions that serve people well over time.

Craig has spent years serving his community in both elected and volunteer roles. He has twice been elected to the Centennial School Board, where he has focused on working hard to ensure students receive the best education possible while keeping political noise out of the classroom. He has also served on the Lino Lakes Charter Commission, including a year as President of Lino Lakes Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, and has held leadership and advisory roles with several local and statewide organizations.

In his public service, Craig takes a thoughtful and practical approach. He studies issues carefully, considers different viewpoints, and focuses on decisions that serve the long-term interests of the community. He is running for the Minnesota House of Representatives in District 36A to continue contributing his experience and to serve with integrity, accountability, and respect for the people he represents.
